Cannot boot back to Windows 95 OEM from MS-DOS due to not supported.
Cause:
Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2 is designed to be preinstalled as the sole operating system on new computers only. There is no option to boot to Windows 95 OSR2 from a previous operating system.
NOTE: Formatting a new hard drive that has Windows 95 OSR2 preinstalled, installing MS-DOS, and then reinstalling Windows 95 OSR2 renders the hard disk unbootable.
Solution:
Use the Windows 95 OSR2 Emergency Boot Diskette to make the boot drive bootable again.
1) Insert the Emergency Boot Diskette in drive A and restart the computer.
2) At the DOS command prompt, type the following and press ENTER:
SYS C:
3) Remove the Emergency Boot Diskette from drive A: and restart the computer.
